Cochlear Training & Education Centre 2007

Dear Colleague,

We’ve come a long way since we opened our Training and Education Centre with only two courses in November 2003. By 2004 we already had over 250 professionals attending a choice of 15 courses. Only two years later, in 2006, we had doubled in size to 30 CI and Baha ® courses with up to 500 registrations.

We are very excited about building on that success in 2007. In response to feedback from our customers, we are introducing several valuable new topics alongside our established courses.

Our new courses explore stimulating and inspiring topics, including bilateral CI, the physiology behind the technology, an overview on how to assess hearing performance and an advanced CI course for surgeons.  As always, courses are presented by leading authorities in the subject area. Speakers include qualified experts from the Cochlear European team along with experienced and respected external specialists.

The courses delivered at our dedicated C-TEC facilities in Mechelen are calculated to meet the varied needs of CI and Baha ® professionals. Courses are practical and interactive, with plenty of discussion and applied work. It’s a great opportunity to learn by working alongside an international group of professional peers.

2007 also sees the launch of our new online courses. There are five online courses on offer, covering topics such as SmartSound, Baha ® and phonological awareness and early reading in CI children. Designed with the feedback of our customers, these one-hour courses are delivered to you via the internet and are recorded so that you can review them again at any time.
